101 How To Embarrass Yourself In Front Of Tourists, Lesson #13:

First, explain how funnelshaped glasses, imported from Bohemia, the Frankish Empire, etc., for a while were the most common shape of drinking glass in Viking Age Scandinavia.

Then, proceed to explain how glass was an extremely rare and expensive commodity in that age, possibly being more valuable than gold, and how over a period of about 300 years only 15 glasses were broken at the chieftain seat.

Finally, while demonstrating how the funnel shape makes the glass itself difficult or even impossible to balance on a table, fumble and accidentally smash the glass right in front of the tourists.
